They discuss the critical role testosterone plays in sexual function, highlighting how low testosterone levels in both men and women can lead to sexual health issues such as erectile dysfunction and decreased libido. Postpartum hormonal changes, which can result in depression, anxiety, and other emotional struggles for women, are also addressed.   The episode covers innovative treatments like PT-141, which has shown effectiveness in boosting libido for both men and women. TRT 101: What It's REALLY Like To Be On Testosterone Replacement Therapy

The frequently asked questions about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). They cover topics such as the benefits of TRT, determining if TRT is right for you, the appropriate dosage of testosterone, the impact of TRT on fertility, the risk of gynecomastia, the need for additional medications while on TRT, the long-term use of TRT, the administration of TRT through injections or creams, and the potential side effects of TRT.   Takeaways TRT offers benefits beyond just sex drive and muscle gain, including improved mental health, bone mineral density, and cardiovascular health. The decision to start TRT should be made in consultation with a healthcare provider, taking into account individual symptoms and overall health. The appropriate dosage of testosterone should be determined by a healthcare provider and may need to be adjusted over time based on individual response. TRT is not birth control. Gynecomastia is not caused by testosterone, but individuals with pre-existing gynecomastia may experience a flare-up when starting TRT. It is important to avoid unnecessary medications some clinics use to “mitigate side effects” and focus on dosing, frequency, overall health and lifestyle improvements. TRT is typically a long-term treatment and should not be thought of as a trial. The ideal way to administer TRT can be done through injections or creams, and the choice depends on compliance, individual preference and response. Patience and consistency are key when starting TRT, as it may take time for the body to adjust and for optimal results to be achieved.   Victory Men's Health Website Click HereVictory Men's Health YouTube Dave Lee TRT FAQ DownloadFor questions email podcast@amystuttle.com Disclaimer: The Women Want Strong Men Podcast is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute the practice of medicine, nursing or other professional health care services, including the giving of medical advice, and no doctor/patient relationship is formed. “Women Want Strong Men” is a podcast that cuts through the noise and gets to the tactical on what people really need to do to optimize their health. Amy leads by example and attends numerous medical conferences to stay up to date on all topics regarding health and longevity. Heart attack prevention, hormone replacement therapy myths, biohacking topics such as photobiomodulation (red light therapy) and sleep hacks are just a few of the topics I have had the pleasure to discuss when I was a guest on the show.
