Our FAQs
General
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card if you plan to use insurance for lab work, and a current list of medications. A summary of your health history is also helpful, as it gives our providers a clearer picture of your overall health and any factors that may be affecting how you feel. We accept all major credit cards and cash. Insurance is accepted for lab work only and is not accepted for treatment.
Insurance can be used for blood work, but most treatments at Victory are considered elective and are not covered by insurance. We accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services. If another clinic says they accept insurance for TRT, it is important to understand the full cost of care before assuming it will be the less expensive option.
An in-office consultation with a licensed medical provider is required before any prescription can be issued. If treatment is appropriate, your prescription will be filled through a licensed pharmacy. Victory does not dispense medications from its clinic locations.
The FDA banned compounding pharmacies from selling certain peptide therapies. Only peptides that the FDA deemed as well studied and have a generic form were determined to be okay by the FDA. We do not prescribe products banned by the FDA.
Yes. 503A pharmacies are licensed by state boards of pharmacy, which are regulated by the FDA.
testosterone
There is no age limit for testosterone therapy. Testosterone therapy produces benefits for men of all ages.
TRT can suppress your body’s natural testosterone production while you are on therapy. When testosterone levels are being provided from an outside source, the brain reduces the signals that normally tell the body to produce its own.
If treatment is stopped, natural production often resumes, but most men with Low T will return to their original baseline—which is often the reason they sought treatment in the first place. That means symptoms can return if therapy is discontinued.
Response time varies from patient to patient, but most men begin noticing some improvement within a few weeks. Factors like body composition, severity of deficiency, other medications, and overall health can all influence how quickly you respond.
Results typically build over time, with changes becoming more noticeable as treatment continues. Our team will meet with you regularly, monitor your progress, and make adjustments to your plan as needed. You did not get here overnight, and meaningful improvement takes time, so consistency and patience are key.
Lab reference ranges for testosterone are often very broad, and “normal” does not always mean optimal. A level that falls within range may still be too low for a man who is experiencing symptoms like fatigue, low libido, poor recovery, brain fog, or reduced performance.
At Victory, we do not treat lab numbers in isolation. We evaluate the full picture—including your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and complete lab work—to determine whether testosterone therapy may be appropriate. That is why some men who are told they are “normal” elsewhere may still be good candidates for treatment.
For many men, testosterone therapy is a long-term treatment because Low T is often a chronic condition rather than a short-term issue. While temporary factors like illness, stress, or other health challenges can affect testosterone levels, men with ongoing symptoms and consistently low levels often require continued treatment to maintain the benefits.
Our team monitors your labs, symptoms, and progress over time to make sure your plan continues to fit your needs. The goal is not just to start treatment, but to help you feel your best with a plan that is appropriate for the long term.
At Victory, we offer several testosterone therapy options, including intramuscular injections, subcutaneous injections, cream, and pellets. We believe in a customized approach and shared decision-making, helping each patient choose the treatment method that best fits his goals, lifestyle, and clinical needs.
Yes, Victory does offer testosterone pellets, although we often find that other delivery methods offer greater precision and flexibility for many patients. Pellets are placed in the upper buttock through a small incision using local anesthesia to keep the procedure comfortable. The insertion itself is quick, usually taking about 10 minutes, and most patients feel very little aside from slight pressure.
Some mild bruising or soreness is possible afterward, but the procedure is generally well tolerated. After insertion, we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 48 hours and avoiding swimming or soaking for 3 to 5 days.
Potential side effects of testosterone therapy can include increases in red blood cell markers, acne or oily skin, reduced sperm production, and fluid retention in certain patients. These effects are not the same for everyone, and many can be monitored or managed with the right treatment plan.
At Victory, we monitor labs and symptoms closely throughout therapy to help keep treatment safe, effective, and tailored to each patient. If you have a history of prostate cancer, heart failure, kidney disease, or concerns about fertility, those should be discussed with your provider before starting treatment.
Testosterone boosters taken orally are generally not recommended due to the risk of liver toxicity. However, Kyzatrex, an FDA-approved oral testosterone undecanoate, does not have harm to the liver. It has a short half-life when taken orally, requiring twice daily dosing, and may offer symptom management sufficient for some men.
Testosterone levels are influenced by far more than age alone. Many men today are dealing with lifestyle and environmental factors that can negatively impact hormone health, including stress, poor sleep, increased body fat, inactivity, processed foods, and exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
That means it is possible for a younger man to have lower testosterone than an older one. At Victory, we look at the full picture—including symptoms, lifestyle, and lab work—to understand what is driving low testosterone and what can be done about it.
Estradiol is a form of estrogen, but it is not just a female hormone. In men, it plays a critical role in libido, erectile function, mood, bone strength, fertility, and overall hormone balance, especially while on testosterone therapy. We often see men who have been blocking estrogen and end up feeling worse than they did before, which is why hormone optimization should focus on balance—not fear of estrogen.
IV Drip
Most IV vitamin drips take about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the bag and the treatment selected. Smaller drips are often closer to 30 minutes, while larger bags may take up to an hour.
Myers’ Cocktail is one of the most popular and widely recognized IV drips for a reason. Known for its foundational blend of vitamins and minerals, it is designed to support energy, immune health, hydration, recovery, and overall wellness in one efficient treatment.
The ideal frequency of IV therapy depends on your goals, symptoms, lifestyle, and overall health. Some patients come in occasionally for targeted support, while others incorporate IV therapy more regularly as part of their wellness routine. Your provider can help recommend the schedule that makes the most sense for your needs.
Sexual Health
GAINSWave is a branded treatment protocol for men’s sexual health that uses low-intensity shockwave therapy to help support blood flow, performance, and penile health. It is not a device itself, but a protocol typically delivered using technologies such as Storz or Evive.
Yes. Shockwave therapy has been studied in men with erectile dysfunction, with the best results seen in men with vasculogenic ED. Research to date suggests it may help improve erectile function in the right candidate, but treatment protocols and devices are not all the same, so provider experience and patient selection matter.
These are some of the clinical studies below:
Getting an erection depends on healthy blood flow. Medications like Viagra and Cialis work by enhancing the effects of nitric oxide, a chemical your body releases during sexual stimulation. This helps relax blood vessels and increase blood flow to the penis, making it easier to get and maintain an erection.
It is important to know that these medications do not create arousal on their own. Sexual stimulation is still required for them to work effectively.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Viagra and Cialis are both effective, and the best option depends on how quickly you want it to work, how long you want it to last, your lifestyle, and how your body responds. Many men try more than one to find the option that fits them best.
weight loss
At Victory, weight loss is never one-size-fits-all. We customize every plan based on your lab work, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals, using a personalized combination of targeted supplementation, nutrition support, hormone optimization, and coaching. By looking at the full picture, we help you build a strategy that is realistic, effective, and designed for long-term success.
Not at all. GLP-1 medications can be a helpful tool for the right patient, but they are not the only path to successful weight loss. At Victory, we customize every plan based on your labs, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals, with options that may include targeted supplementation, nutrition support, hormone optimization, and personalized coaching.
We use the InBody scale, an advanced body composition analyzer that gives us a much deeper look than weight alone. It measures key markers like body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, and visceral fat so we can track real progress over time.
This helps our team tailor your plan to make sure you are losing fat, not sacrificing muscle. At Victory, the goal is not just weight loss. It is better body composition, stronger health, and long-term results that actually matter.
Absolutely. Hormones play a major role in how your body stores fat, builds muscle, and regulates metabolism. In men, low testosterone is often associated with increased body fat, reduced muscle mass, lower energy, and poorer recovery, all of which can make weight loss more difficult.
By optimizing hormones when appropriate, we can help support a healthier metabolism, better body composition, improved energy, and greater consistency with training and nutrition. At Victory, hormone optimization is not treated as a shortcut—it is one part of a more complete strategy designed to help your body function better and respond more effectively to your overall plan.
Absolutely. If you are a candidate for a brand-name GLP-1 medication, we can help guide you to the right option based on your goals and preferences. Zepbound® may be fulfilled through LillyDirect, while Wegovy® is also available through Novo Nordisk options, including the newer oral Wegovy® tablet for eligible patients.
supplements
Our supplements are formulated to meet pharmaceutical-grade standards, with a focus on purity, potency, and bioavailability. We partner with trusted, GMP-certified manufacturers and hold every product we carry to rigorous quality benchmarks to ensure they meet the level of excellence our patients expect.
Yes. Our Victory RX line is third-party tested to confirm the potency of both raw materials and finished products—so you can trust the strength, purity, and consistency of our vitamins, minerals, and botanical interventions.
red light therapy
Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) uses specific LED wavelengths (red/near-infrared) to target cells and boost mitochondrial energy—no heat stress required. An infrared sauna primarily uses infrared heat to warm your body core, raise heart rate, and trigger sweating (cardio-like effect). Think cellular signal vs. heat stress
It’s a noninvasive therapy that uses specific red and near-infrared wavelengths from LEDs to deliver light energy to your cells—similar to how plants absorb sunlight—supporting natural repair and optimal function.
Common goals include supporting skin health (anti-aging), calming acne, easing aches and pains, reducing post-workout soreness, increased blood flow, and promoting overall recovery and resilience.
Treatments feel gently warm—not hot. Most people describe a calm, relaxing experience with a “steady energy” feeling afterward.
cardiovascular testing
Victory’s cardiovascular screening includes a carotid ultrasound (CIMT) to detect early plaque, MaxPulse to evaluate arterial age and stiffness, SphygmoCor for central blood pressure and pulse wave velocity, and advanced Boston Heart bloodwork to provide a more comprehensive picture of your cardiovascular health.
Carotid intima–media thickness and plaque analysis reveal atherosclerosis early—and plaque vulnerability—helping predict heart attack or stroke risk before symptoms.
ApoB measures the number of atherogenic particles that can contribute to plaque buildup, while Lp(a) is an inherited risk marker that can increase cardiovascular risk even when standard cholesterol numbers appear normal. Together, they give a more complete picture of risk and help guide a more targeted prevention strategy.
MaxPulse provides a quick, non-invasive look at arterial stiffness and the biological age of your arteries. SphygmoCor goes a step deeper by measuring central blood pressure and arterial elasticity, including pulse wave velocity and pulse wave analysis, to give a more advanced view of cardiovascular health than a standard blood pressure cuff alone.
bloodwork
We go beyond basic labs—measuring 70+ biomarkers across hormones, cardiometabolic risk, thyroid, inflammation, and key nutrients. It’s an in-depth panel that far exceeds what most patients receive at a routine primary-care checkup.
We have an on-site phlebotomy partner at each clinic for added convenience. If you prefer a different location, we can also send your lab order to the draw site of your choice.
longevity
Longevity is about more than lifespan. It is about healthspan—living more years with strength, clarity, mobility, vitality, and independence. Our goal is to help you protect the systems that keep you performing at a high level so those extra years actually feel worth having.
Advanced bloodwork, hormone optimization, cardiovascular screening, body composition scans, red light therapy, sauna, cold plunge, gut health support, targeted vitamins/minerals, personalized nutrition and training plans—and more.
Gut Health
“Leaky gut” means the tight junctions in your intestinal lining aren’t sealing properly, so more unwanted particles can cross into your bloodstream and trigger immune and inflammatory reactions throughout the body.
This test looks at how your immune system is reacting to your gut lining—specifically whether your gut barrier is damaged and allowing things like toxins, bacteria, or food particles to slip through into your bloodstream.
It’s especially helpful if you’ve got ongoing issues like bloating, food sensitivities, skin issues, brain fog, fatigue, or autoimmune conditions and feel like “something is off,” but standard labs keep saying everything is normal.
